Orlen Carl Imhoff, was born August 14, 1926, near Williamsburg, the son of Henry and Katrina (Thissen) Imhoff. He was baptized on September 5, 1926 and confirmed on March 17, 1940, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1944. On October 10, 1948, he married Lora Dorothea Amelia Doehrmann, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, near Williamsburg. He was a life long resident of the Williamsburg area. He farmed for many years and owned and operated Imhoff Wiring Service from 1968-1988. Orlen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he was an elder, trustee and was in the fellowship club. He served on the St. Paul Lutheran School Board and the town council. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, wood working and attending his grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. Orlen died on Tuesday December 22, 2009, at his home, at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife Lora of Williamsburg; his children Cynthia (Steven) DeBerg of Marengo, Illinois, Ruth Haby of Lafayette, Indiana and Mark (Gloria) Imhoff of Williamsburg; a son-in-law Gerry Gjerde of DeWitt, Iowa; and 6 grandchildren: Ryan (Jenna) Gjerde, Jill Gjerde, Lauren Haby, Michelle Haby, Kathryn Imhoff and Rebecca Imhoff. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 daughters Judy Gjerde and Jane Imhoff. Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2009, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Saturday at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Interparish School. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com under obituaries.

Casket bearers were Brett Wetjen, Michael Von Ahsen, Jeff Wille, Ed Lillis, Mark Hulseberg and Allan Heitshusen. Honorary casket bearers were Wayne and Shirley Walters, Ed and Sandy Ficken and Karen Wichman.]
