Peter J. Williams, 45, died Monday evening October 5, 1998 in his home after a long illness. Services were held 10:30 a.m. Thursday October 8th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Williamsburg, by the Rev. Joseph Roost and the Rev. Edmund Dunn. Burial was at Middle Amana Cemetery, Middle Amana.

Surviving are his wife, Susan: and his parents, Peter C. and Dorothy of Middle Amana.

Also surviving are his mother-in-law Alta Lillis of Williamsburg; two brothers-in-law Charles and Gary both of Marion; and several neices and nephews.

Peter was born June 26, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Peter C. and Dorthy J. Jeck Williams. He graduated from Amana High School in 1971, Iowa State University in 1975 and received his master's from St Ambrose University in 1998. Peter married Susan Lillis on August 22, 1981, at St. Mary Catholic church, Williamsburg. He worked as a controller for Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids and was a member of the Amana Society Church.
