Thomas Leader
Mr. Thomas Leader, one of Marengo's most prominent and highly respected pioneer citizens, died at his home on Court Avenue, Sunday, May 31, 1908, at one o'clock p.m., aged 83 years, 7 months and 11 days. He was born in England, coming to America 58 years ago. He leaves a wife, seven children and a number of grandchildren. The public funeral services were held at the home yesterday afternoon at two o'clock. Private services were held at the home today at 10:30 o'clock, Rev. F. B. Tucker officiating, and the interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
