IN MEMORIAM.
DIED;--In Marcus, Iowa, March 13th. 1886, MRS. ELLEN DALTON, wife of James Dalton.

She was born in Miltown, Malbay County Clare, Ireland, in the year A.D. 1842. She came to this country with her parents when quite young. After her marriage to James Dalton they resided on a farm in Hilton Tp. this county, for fifteen years. She leaves a husband and seven small children to mourn her loss.

She was a sister of our esteemed townsman, P.C. Powers. a noble and pure woman in all the relations of life, a devoted, affectionate wife and mother, idolised by her husband and children, and loved and esteemed by all who knew her. She has been called from time earthly to time celestial, from a world of sickness pain and death, to one of stellar brilliancy and immortal youth.

Her remains were buried there at present, but will be removed during the summer and interred in the cemetery at Marengo.
