Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 20 November 1885.

DIED:--At her residence in York Tp. Nov. 10th. Mrs. David Whalen. She has been suffering from a protracted illness which human skill had failed to master, and the Angel of Death claimed her for his own. She has for many years been a resident of York tp. and her many friends mourn her loss. The remains were taken to the cemetery in Iowa City for interment.
