MASONIC RITES GIVEN FOR BILL BECKER, 82
Marengo Masonic Lodge 114 AF and AM conducted services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Marengo cemetery for William Becker, 82. He died at Watts Nursing home Saturday morning after being ill two months. He had been a resident of the home since May 1965. Pallbearers were Bob Dillin, Harold Swift, Dr. A.I. Solbrig and Fred Bartz. Hoover-Valentine funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Becker was born April 16, 1890 the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Becker at Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 12 he came to Marengo and has been a resident of the area the rest of his life. He was educated in the Sumner township schools. He was married to Anna Livingston at Marengo who preceded him in death in 1958. A member of the Marengo Masonic Lodge 114 AF and AM he had received a fifty year pin and was a past master of the lodge. He did carpenter work until his retirement. His survivors include two sister-in-laws; Mrs. Amelia Wiggins, Galesburg, Illinois and Mrs. Mary Davis, Oskaloosa.
