Funeral Saturday
For H. C. House

Harry C. House, 84, 902 Cedar avenue, longtime resident and real estate owner who died Tuesday, will be buried Saturday in a family plot in Sunnyside cemetery following services at 2 p.m. in Holton and Son funeral chapel.
House's real estate holdings included approximately a block front on American avenue between Sixth and Seventh streets.
House was born in Williamsburg, Iowa and came to Long Beach 41 years ago. His wife Eva, who preceded him in death, was the daughter of the late Ellis Hakes, one of the founders and for a number of years president of the Citizens' Nation bank of Long Beach, which was located at Seventh street and Pine avenue. House was associated with Hakes in numerous enterprises here.
He was a member of First Presbyterian church, and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mildred B. Jones, Long Beach; two brothers, Edward House, Encinitas, Calif., and George House, Oakland; a sister, Mrs. Flora Shirk, Pasadena; a granddaughter, Mrs. Betty Keddinger, Long Beach, and a great granddaugther.
The Rev. Charles S. Poling, former pastor of First Presbyterian church, who is now in Arcadia, will conduct the services.
