Levi D. Mast, age 75, died Sunday April 13, 2008 at Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following an extended illness. Funeral Services: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Kim Vogel, Mercy Hospice Chaplain officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be contributed to the Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.

Lee is survived by his fiancée, Janet Morrison of Marengo, two daughters, Brenda Jones and husband Jerry of Watkins and Sandra Means and husband Jerry of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Erin Brunston of Cedar Rapids, Katie Mixdorf and husband Phillip of Cedar Rapids, Amanda Jones of Watkins, Justin Carder and fiancée Chrissy Lindeman of Cedar Rapids, and Cheryl Carder also of Cedar Rapids; four great-grandchildren, Jayson Jones, Michael and Thomas Brunston and Kaylyn Cates; two brothers and six sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lois, three brothers, a grandson Michael Clothier and a great grandson Shawn Mixdorf.

Levi D. Mast was born July 4, 1932 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Daniel Mast, Sr. and Katie Bontrager Mast. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Levi married Lois Kottman in 1955 at Caledonia, MN. She died in 1993. Levi was a route salesman for a greeting card company. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Cedar Rapids and the Marengo American Legion Post #76. He enjoyed woodworking, farming with the Stevensons, and playing Skipbo and Blitz. He also raised, trained and showed Morgan horses.
