Josephine A. Stallman, 67, of rural Amana, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with lymphoma. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday at John XXIII Catholic Church by the Rev. Phil Thompson. Burial: St. Patrick Cemetery, Fairfax. A vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Teahen Funeral Home in Walford where friends may visit from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Josephine is survived by six children: daughter, Juanita (Dave) Kohoutek of Shueyville, son, Robert Stallman, Jr. of Amana, son, Regis (Fran) Stallman of Norway, son, Randall (Nikki) Stallman and son, Raphael (Laura) Stallman, all of Walford, and daughter, Monica (Kenny) Patten of Fairfax; grandchildren, Jenna and Megan Kohoutek, Jana and Jill Stallman, Ryan, Drew, Adam, Danielle, and Nathan Stallman, Amanda and Sarah Stallman, and Brycen Meyer; five siblings, Anna May (Wesley) Petrick, Genevieve Welsh, Kathleen (Claire) Mangold, Mary Jencks, and Regis McNamara; and many more extended family members.

Her parents, husband Robert J. Stallman Sr., daughter Roberta Stallman, and siblings Rita Haas, Edward, Robert, and Joseph McNamara preceded Josephine in death.

Josephine was born in Prairieburg to Clarence John and Kathrine Ann Henry McNamara. She married Robert J. Stallman Nov. 15, 1958, at St. Mary's in Manchester. He died in September of 2005. Some of Josephine's joys were dancing, gardening, bowling, and trips to the casino. She loved living on the farm and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
