Keith V. Markwell was born on September 25, 1937, near North English, IA, the son of Max Wallace and Lucille Dorothy Crawford Markwell. The family lived on a farm north of North English where Keith and his brother Robert loved to follow their dad around and help with the chores. Keith attended a country school near Marengo for several years. Following their mother’s death, Keith and his brother moved to Hillside Estates near Williamsburg, IA. In October 2007 they became residents of the English Valley Care Center in North English. Keith died following a short illness on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, IA. He lived 70 years, 1 month and 30 days. He is survived by a brother Robert of North English, IA, several aunts and cousins Keith was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English. Pastor Kirk Statler will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 8:30 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the North English Cemetery. He is survived by a brother Robert Markwell of North English.
