Donald Patrick Doran

Donald P. Doran died July 8, 2007, at his home in Carson, Calif., surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services for Donald will be held Wednesday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor, Iowa, with Father Brian Shepley presiding. Family wll receive friends for an hour before the Funeral Mass.
Donald was born March 17, 1934, in Victor, Iowa, to John and Catherine (Brougham) Doran. Don graduated from St. John High School in Victor in 1953. On Aug. 12, 1957, at St. Patrick Church in Marengo, he married Mary Luce. Mary preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 1970. Donald served in the U.S. Army. Donald worked for Mobil Oil and managed United Plumbing and Heating.

He is survived by his children, Angie (Rick), John (Irecema) and Steve (Queenie) and his brother David's daughter, Teresa, and by his grandchildren, Amber, Alana, Gabriella and Izabella, and by Teresa's children, Anthony and Alexondra, and one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Mary; brothers, Bill (Doty), Ed (Joan); and sisters, Helen (John) Lavelle and Katie Cooney; and many nieces and nephews. Donald is also survived by his loving Irish Mexican family, the Calderons and Sandy and Mike Barber; and his extended grandchildren, Mike and Matthew Barber.

In addition to his wife, Mary, Donald was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Catherine Doran; his brothers, David and James; and his nephew, Douglas Doran.

Burial for Donald will be in Calvary Cemetery, Victor, Iowa.
