Death of F. L. Baird

Frank Leslie Baird was born on the old home farm west of town May 4th, 1864, and died Dec. 31st, 1916. At the age of ten years he came with his parents to Millersburg where he grew to manhood. On March 2nd, 1885 he was married to Ella J. Hatter and to this union were born four daughters: Mrs. C.L. King of Millersburg; Mrs. Bert Osborne of Hubbard; Mrs. Carl Van Horn of Webster. One daughter, Lena died in infancy.

The funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday conducted by Re. Cole; the choir, composed of Prof. and Mrs. Overholt, Mrs. Lottie Ingram, Mrs. Katie Jones, Ernest Myers, and Charles Sitler sand the beautiful selections "Somewhere", "I Need Thee Every Hour", and "Abide With Me." The house was crowded to its utmost capacity with friends of the family. The pall bearers were Harry Shanks, Tom Donohoe, Mart Pope, Carl Wilson, Floyd Wilson, and Barnie O'Brien. After the services the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery east of town.
