Dorothy was born on July 17, 1927, in Wellman, Iowa to Wilbur and Neva Kolsick Cray. She attended public school in North English and graduated from high school in Edinburg, Texas in 1945. On June 1, 1947, she was married to Eugene Blount in Marshalltown, Iowa. The couple lived in North English and Ladora before moving to Victor. She was a mother and homemaker for most of her life but recently had worked as a surgical sterilizer at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Dorothy was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in North English and she enjoyed crafts and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Blount of Victor; three daughters, LaRae Rudin of North Liberty, Deborah Grimm of Newton and Robin L. Darling of Lowell, Arkansas; two sons, Leslie E. Blount of Cedar Falls and Christopher A. Blount of Deltona, Florida; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and one sister Johnette Hudson of Keswick. She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren.
