BLAIRSTOWN: Maxine Tranberry, age 91, of Blairstown died in her home on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 following a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Blairstown with Rev. Jena Manchester officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Chapel in Blairstown from 4 to 8 PM on Friday. A Memorial Fund has been established. Maxine was born January 17, 1915 in Ladora, a daughter of Ernest Eugene and Emma Matilda (Fiester) Shaull and graduated from Ladora High School in 1932. On May 1, 1938 she married Bob Tranberry in Ladora. Maxine was a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Blairstown where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent and sang in the Choir. She was an excellent seamstress, making and designing wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses. She loved to cook and have family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her son, Jim Tranberry, son-in-law, Ronnie Duncalf, grandson, Nolan Duncalf, her sisters, Lucille Feller, Donna Sims, brothers, Gerald "Gus" Shaull, Harlan "Gump" Shaull, Edwin "Jake" Shaull, and Ernest "Spud" Shaull. Maxine is survived by her husband, Bob Tranberry, her daughter, Karen Duncalf of Van Horne, her daughter-in-law, Jan Tranberry of Plymouth, MN, her brother, Wayne Shaull of Ladora, her sister, Kate George of Fairfax,; her grandchildren, Darla (Cory) Conway, Brenda (Scott) Barry, Rod Duncalf (Christine), Jon Tranberry, Jeff Tranberry (Rachel), Joan Flynn (Mike); and great grandchildren, Dustin, Derrick, Caitlyn, A.J., Jennifer, Oceana, Megan, Trevor and Ryley. Thank you for Blairstown Ambulance, Dr. Cole Martin, Dr. Mark Dearden, Rita Taylor Stewart, PA-C, Amenity Hospice and for Pastor Jena Manchester's consistent attention during this time. Special thanks to Darla and Brenda for taking special care of their Grandma. We love you Grandma.
