DEATH OF MRS. MERRITT

Old Pioneer Dies at her Home in Marengo

Mrs. Rosanna Merritt died on Friday of last week at the home of her son, J.M. Merritt, in Marengo. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. C.A. Preston. The interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

The deceased was more than ninety years old and had resided in this county for many years; the pioneer home was in Hilton township and many, of a later generation, have loving memories of the goodness and kindness of "Aunt Rosa."

The old neighbors extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
