Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 24 February 1888, p3.
MARRIED.
At the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Jones, Tuesday evening Feb. 21, 1888; Mr. JOHN D. EDWARDS, of Chicago, Ill., and MISS ANNE JONES, Rev. Henry Davis officiating. There was a very large gathering of relatives and friends, who enjoyed the occasion in the most delightful manner. After the ceremony was over the guests sat down to a sumptious supper, and did full justice to the delicious preparations.
Mr. Edwards is well known in this vicinity as a young man of a most exemplary character. He fills an important position in the Piano Manufacturing Co.'s offices in Chicago.
Miss Jones is also well known in this neighborhood, being brought up here, and is a most estimable and accomplished young lady. We regret very much to be obliged to part with "Anne," but feel confident that she will be happy in her new home in Chicago, where the happy couple intend to go the last of this week.
Our best wishes are for their temporal and spiritual welfare, and may God bless Mr. and Mrs. Edwards in time, death and forever.
