Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 10 February 1888, p3.

MARRIED.
At the M.E. Parsonage in Ladora, on Wednesday evening, Feb. 1, 1888, by Rev. H.F. Pugh, Mr. JAMES J. COATS, of Hartford township, and MISS BECCA NOAKER, of Honey Creek township.

It is with great deal of pleasure that we note the above happy event. Both of the contracting parties are well known, and are highly esteemed by a host of friends, who all unite in wishing them a prosperous and happy voyage over the sea of matrimony. They start out in life under favorable circumstances, and with the abundance of good sense of which they are possessed, they can hardly reap anything but a bountiful harvest. The Republican extends its best wishes, and trusts that their life will be one of sunshine. --Marengo Republican.

Mr. Coats, for several years, was a correspondent for the Victor Herald --during the time that we were in charge-- and we knew him to be one of our brightest and best citizens; and we warmly extend our congratulations, hoping that the best and most desirable things in life may fall to their lot.
