Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 27 January 1888, p3.
Mr. H.W. Evans, who is well and favorably known by all the people of this community, has quit farming and entered the commercial world, he has rented his farm for three years, sold his stock at public sale, and started Wednesday for Stuart Neb., having purchased a stock of general merchandise at that place. We can cheerfully recommend Mr. Evans to the people of that western city, as an honest, square dealing gentleman, a man of character an standing in the community, and bespeak for him and his most estimable family, a warm welcome from the people of Stuart, and vicinity. His wife and children will remain here until the first of March.
