Here is an obit of Cecil Brown that will help with your questions.

CECIL R. BROWN
Funeral services for Cecil Roscoe Brown, 83, of Galva were held at 10:30 last Friday in St. John's Lutheran Church at Galva. He died Tuesday, July 26,1988 at Buena Vista Hospital in Storm Lake.
Burial was in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Galva.
Mr. Brown was born August 31,1904 at Ida Grove to Roscoe Brown and Lena (Braise) Brown.
He married Leta K. (Specketer) on Oct. 17,1935 at Sioux City, Iowa.
He was in the trucking business for 46 years. He was a member of the Galva Fire Department for 22 years and served as mayor of Galva for two years.
Survivors include; his wife, Leta of Galva; three sons, Doyle Brown of Ida Grove, Rodnee Brown of Omaha, NE, and Gary Brown of Bena, MN; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Janice) Levin of Bena, MN; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Graybill and Mrs. Hazel Grimes, both of Galva.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
