Hi,
The KAATZ family didn't live in Ida County. I did some internet search and found the following; In 1910 they were living in McLean, North Dakota, and in 1930 athey were in Effington, Roberts, South Dakota. Emil E. died October 2,1936 in Roberts County, SD and Agatha died June 7,1964 in Isanti, MN. Walter Kaatz maried Dorothy Zimmerman February 14,1931 in Marshall County, SD, although they were residents of Roberts Co., SD. Albert Kaatz was born September 24,1901 and died April 1975 in Dunseith, Rolette, North Dakota. William Arnold Kaatz was born April 14,1915 and died September 27,1983 in Fairmont, Martin Co., MN. (Mothers maiden name was Lange). He married Gertrude Irene Smuda-born September 28,1914 and died March 28,1981 in Fairmont, MN. William and Gertrude had at least two children; Sharon Ann born October 15,1941 in Dakota Col, MN and William Leo born October 7,1943 in Dakota Co, MN. Arthur Edward Kaatz was married to Helena Krone November 31,1937 in Roberts, SD. In 1930 he lived in Terry, Prairie Co, Montana and worked for the railroad. Arthur was born October 28,1899 in Minnesota and died May 28,1976 in Kanabec, MN (mother maiden name Lange.)
