Does anyone have a Stena SCHMIDT in their family charts? My great-grandfather is Nicholas PAULSEN, b. 1848 Holstein, GER; to USA 1865; m. Mary FAHRENKROG 1871 Scott Co, Iowa; to Ida County, Iowa 1886; died Ida County, Iowa 1907.
In 1870 Scott Co, Iowa Census in Butler Township at the age of 21, Nicholas PAULSON was living with Johann PAULSON age 30 and Stena SCHMIDT age 25 who was keeping house. Am wondering where Johann and Stena went after 1870 census. Might be a link in finding Nicholas PAULSEN's parent's names.
