Hi,
Don't know if this is your Charley, but here is an obit for a Charles Hansen I found.

Last Call For Charles Hansen

Death ended the early pilgrimage of Charles Hansen of Ida Grove at 1;45 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, after he had been in failing health for the past three or four years. He has been bedfast the last month, unable to take any nourishment except a little milk or water. For two weeks or more he has been in a state of a coma, unable to recognize anyone.

Charles Hansen was born March 25,1856 in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and was past 75 years old. At age 17 he came with an older brother to America and on the 18th of September 1882 he married Anna Jepson at Dixon, Illinois. Some three years later, they moved into Ida County and at first lived on the Needham place, later renting in Logan township and then buying a farm of their own in the eastern part of the township. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen moved into Ida Grove in the winter of 1916-17, purchasing the home at the corner of Second and Court Street.

Ten children were born to this couple, nine of whom survive, together with their mother. The oldest, Mary Gray, died at Dell Rapids, SD about 10 years ago.
