My great grandfather was Wulf Schiernbeck married to Katharena Gradert. I have been trying to trace Wulf's father back. All I had was death record showing William as father. Then I found the 1925 Iowa census that listed his father as Albert and mother as Margrith Stephen. I wondered if his father was Wilhelm Albert and went by Albert or what. Marie E.Schiernbeck daughter of Herman H. Schiernbeck married Leslie Schiernbeck son of Herman Schiernbeck which traces back to Wilhelm H. Schiernbeck and Emma Kock. There are several Schiernbecks in Iowa and South Dakota and they do seem to be related. Any info is greatly appreciated. My mother was a daughter of Frank Schiernbeck and Nellie Obrecht.
