Old Photographs (1938)

This is an inquiry for my next-door neighbor, Pauline Oberreuter, who was born and raised in Danbury, Iowa. She currently resides in San Diego, California and is 85 years old. She was telling me a story about being in a beauty contest when she was 18 years old that was held at the theatre in Battle Creek, Iowa in 1938. She wasn't sure of the name of the theatre. She was telling me wished she had a photograph of herself in the beauty contest.

Do you know who I might check with to see if there are any old photographs of this local beauty contest from the 1938 in Battle Creek, Iowa. Any information you could provide me would be appreciated.
