Former Battle Creek Resident Dies
Claude Thomas, 73, a former Battle Creek resident, died Sunday, June 8, 1958, in his home at 3818 Garreston Ave., Sioux City. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, June 11 in the Morningside Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Robert Rae, officiating. Members of the session, and trustees, of the church were honorary pall bearers. Survivors are his widow, Nellie; one daughter, Mrs. William S. Brown, and three grandchildren; also four sisters. Mr. Thomas has been employed for 49 years as assistant department manager in the Younkers-Davidson Store in Sioux City. While a Battle Creek resident he was a clerk in the A.M.
