Kasandra Ann “Kasey” Johnk, the daughter of Fred and Diane (Klaver) Campbell, was born on August 17, 1964, in Nebraska. The family relocated to Odebolt, Iowa, where Kasey received her elementary and middle school education in the Odebolt-Arthur Community School District. They then moved to Ida Grove, Iowa, where she attended Ida Grove High School graduating with the class of 1982. After high school, Kasey entered the workforce. With a heart of gold, Kasey began a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant starting at Morningside Care Center of Ida Grove and then at Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove. Kasey was blessed with three children: Cole, Devon, and Deandra. In November of 2015, Kasey married Lawrence “Larry” J. Johnk in the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Ida Grove. She welcomed his three children: Butch, Sarah, and Chelsey to the family and became the “bonus Mom”. In November 2017 they added a sweet little Yorkie to the family which Kasey lovingly named Noelle. In her past time, Kasey enjoyed calligraphy, photography, bowling on Wednesday league, craft brewing, playing pool, gardening, canning, and taking road trips. She found comfort in cooking and loved trying new recipes. Her memory will live on in those who had the privilege to know and love her.
