James Laverne Clark
(January 23, 1947 - March 14, 2013)

James Clark, age 66, of Ida Grove, Iowa, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Per his wishes, Mr. Clark was cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home of Ida Grove is in charge of professional arrangements. Born January 23, 1947, in rural Dunlap, Monona County, Iowa, James Laverne Clark was the son of William Arthur and Retha Dale (Rhinehart) Clark. James was united in marriage to Patricia Cornelius on September 17, 1966, in Vail, Iowa. The couple was blessed with four sons, Jimmy, Billy, Bob, and Andrew. Jim worked as an automotive bodyman for many years. Survivors include his partner, Patricia, of Battle Creek; two sons, Bob Clark of Shenandoah, and Andrew Clark of Cherokee; three grandchildren, Jessie Clark of Council Bluffs, and Tylor Clark and Cassidy Clark, both of Shenandoah; a brother, Bill Clark of Missouri; and four sisters, Patty Vaughn of Denison, Sandy (Darrell) Sorenson of Denison, Lynette (Michael) Bohlin of Dow City, and Linda (Terry) Dohse of Westside.
