Harley Earl Fouts
(November 30, 1925-December 20, 2018)Harley Earl Fouts, the son of Earl and Rosa Fouts, was born on November30, 1925 in Cushing, Iowa. He passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the age of 93 in Denver Colorado. Harley attended schools in Cushing, Iowa until the eleventh grade. While in school, he participated in the school band playing the drums. His family farmed and he and his two brothers worked the farm with their parents. Harley did various jobs in construction, worked for Green's Dairy which he later took over in the town of Holstein, Iowa. Being the local milk distributor, he had many customers in surrounding communities as well as the farming community. He sold the milk business and managed the Country Club in Holstein before moving to Denver in 1978, where he and Lois managed high rise apartments until they retired to Heather Gardens in 1989. Harley was a very social person and loved to dance, play cards, and spent time with friends and relatives. He was a great bowler and even bowled a perfect game of 300.
Survivors include: Two daughters, Connie Boccaccio (Rocky)and Donna Urban of Arvada, Co, and two sons, Rick Fouts (Diane)of St. Louis, MO and Gene Fouts (Laurie) of Aurora, Co. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Ryan and Jason Boccaccio, Elizabeth (Jerome) Shaw, Rebecca, Natalie, and Jacob Fouts and one great grandchild, Alexis Boccaccio. Preceded in death were his parents (Earl and Rosa), two brothers (Arnold and Marvin), his wife (Lois), and son-in-law (Paul Urban Jr.)
A memorial service will be held on December 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Horan and McConaty chapel located at 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, Co, 80014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
