Died on the Train
Holstein Man was on Way to Des Moines
Holstein and North Ida County
J. C. VanVoy, one of the best known farmers of this locality, died Wednesday night on the train near Jewell Junction, while on his way to Des Moines to receive medical treatment. Wednesday it was decided by Mr. VanVoy and his family that he should go to Des Moines for treatment in a sanitarium. Desiring to have as little publicity as possible, Barney and his son, Robert, drove to Galva and took the train, Herbert, the other son, taking the train here and joining his father at Galva to accompany him. Robert drove home again with the team. The deceased leaves a wife, daughter and two sons, all of whom have been at home.
