Penni Lee Hinrichs
(January 7, 1957 - August 28, 2015)

IDA GROVE – Services for Penni Lee Wilcox-Hinrichs, 58, of Ida Grove were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at Faith Community Church in Ida Grove with Rev. Mark Aurand will officiating followed by burial at the Ida Grove Cemetery in Ida Grove. Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home in Ida Grove was in charge of arrangements.
Penni Lee Hinrickson was born on January 7, 1957 in Ida Grove, Iowa to Albert and LaVonne (Ferguson) Hinrickson. She grew up in Ida Grove, Iowa where she attended school and graduated from Ida Grove High School with the class of 1975. She went on to further her education and graduated from Western Iowa Tech Community College with a degree in Engineering. Penni was united into marriage to Leo Wilcox on September 1, 1978 in the United Methodist Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. The couple were blessed with two sons, Tim and Steve. Penni lost Leo after his courageous fight with cancer on October 7, 2009.
Penni entered into marriage to Rick Hinrichs on October 27, 2012 in Bellevue Nebraska. She welcomed five step children: Katie, Paul, Mollie, Mandie, and Caleb. Penni worked for GOMACO Industries as an Engineer for 26 Years. She died Aug. 28 at Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, Neb.
Penni was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Wilcox; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Rick Hinrichs of Ida Grove, Iowa; sons, Tim (Amber) Wilcox of Ida Grove, Iowa, Steve (April) Wilcox of Ida Grove, Iowa; grandchildren, Daylyn, Hailey, Breanne, Bentlie, Jade, and Blaise; parents, Albert and LaVonne Hinrickson of Ida Grove, Iowa; brother, Dale (Cindy) Hinrickson of Ida Grove, Iowa; sister, Tammy (Steve) Watts of Sac City, Iowa; and extended family and friends.
