Darlene Schirrmacher
(August 2, 1937 – September 20, 2020)

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Services for Darlene Joan Rehse Schirrmacher, 83, of Las Vegas, Nev., will be at a later date, due to current COVID-19 restrictions. She will be buried next to her husband, Wendell, in the Iowa community they both loved, in the Ida Grove Cemetery.
She died peacefully in her sleep Sept. 20, 2020, at her Las Vegas, Nev., home. Born Aug. 2, 1937, in Battle Creek, Darlene raised a family in Ida County and later in southern California. Darlene loved cooking, cake decorating and collecting recipes. Darlene cherished her role as aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She welcomed many family friends and relatives into her home, and all who stayed there became part of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Wendell Schirrmacher. Source: Ida County Courier, Ida Grove, Iowa, Tues., Oct 6, 2020.
