IDA GROVE – Services for Jeffrey Lynn “Jeff” Hudson, 51, of Ida Grove were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ida Grove Skate Palace in Ida Grove with Rev. Tyler Parson officiating. Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home in Ida Grove was in charge of arrangements.
Jeffrey Lynn “Jeff” Hudson made his entrance into this life Dec. 14, 1968, in Emmetsburg. He was one of seven blessings to his parents, Dennis Hudson and Patricia (Imhoff) (Hudson) Hovinga. Changing scenery often, Jeff obtained his GED and furthered his education with two years of college, graduating with a certificate in diesel mechanics. In 2012, Jeff married the love of his life, Jodie Rohlf, and they made their home in Ida Grove. He was employed at GOMACO in Ida Grove as a service tech.
He died Sept. 29, 2020, at MercyOne-Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Douglas Hudson; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his stepfather, Dennis “Hank” Hovinga; and a niece, Amy Hudson. Jeff leaves behind his wife, Jodie Hudson of Ida Grove; and his children: Damon Hudson (significant other Aly Phillips) of Center Point, Cassidy Hudson of Des Moines, Lisa (Brian) Lundell of Kiron, Kristina (Jake) Blackman of Ida Grove, Tyler Andrews of Cedar Falls and Madison Schiernbeck of Ida Grove.
