Services were May 16, 1998, for Opal I. Schuldt, 91, of Odebolt, formerly of Sac City, at Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Odebolt. The Rev. Charles Bulger, the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Odebolt, officiated with burial in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.
Mrs. Schuldt died May 14 at Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Schuldt was born May 10, 1907, in Yetter, the daughter of Wilbur and Rachael (Houdeshell) McKee. She was baptized in the Auburn Methodist Church and joined the First Presbyterian Church in Sac City in 1944. She was educated in Auburn and Lake City before moving to South Dakota.
She married Emil Carl Schuldt on Dec. 19, 1923, at Armour, S.D. The couple lived in Wagner, S.D., before coming to Iowa in 1931. They lived on farms in Buena Vista and Sac Counties until moving to Sac City. She had resided at Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center for the past three years. She was employed at Arthaud's Variety Store and Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City, retiring in 1985.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, LaFoye and Glendora Schuldt of Winter Haven, Fla., and Robert and Marzella Schuldt of Odebolt; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Wilbur McKee of Florence, Colo., and Bill Misner of Fort Morgan, Colorado.
