The death of Mrs. Alfred Janssen took place at the Ida Grove hospital Friday morning, Nov. 15, after an extended illness. She had attained the age of 35 years and 5 days. Her illness dates back some three years, at which time it became evident that her span of life would not be long. She was able to perform her daily tasks, however; until a few weeks ago, when her condition became such that she no longer possessed the strength to do much work. She then grew steadily weaker until the end. Frieda Dora Janssen, daughter of William Schmidt and his wife, Louise, nee Miller, was born on a farm in Grant township, Nov. 10, 1905, and spent all of her life in this vicinity.
