Albert Cope of Sergeant Bluff, an employee of the Chicago & Northwestern railway, died last night in one of the local hospitals. Cope was injured yesterday afternoon at Bronson. He was on top of a freight car when another car bumped into it and threw him under the wheels of the car. He was rushed to the city by special train and taken to the hospital, where he died two hours later from the injuries. One foot was cut off at the ankle and he suffered internal injuries. [Albert C. Cope was married to Hattie Emily Peterson on Feb 25, 1891 in Ida County, Iowa. Albert was buried in Sergeant Bluff Cemetery (aka Hill Cemetery) in Woodbury Township, Woodbury County, Iowa.]
