Edward O. James

Edward Octavius James, who had been in failing health the past three years, suffering with an abscess of the lungs, died Monday, April 7 at the home of his sister, Mrs. William Bassett in Ida Grove.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. J. J. Davies and buriel will be made at Ida Grove cemetery.

Edward O. James was the son of Geo and Annie James and was born Sept. 3, 1865 in London Ontario. He lived to attain the age of 58 years, 5 months and 4 days.
In 1904, he was united in marriage to Jessie Neate of Lumsden, Saskatchewan and to this union five children were born. Fifteen years ago he located to West Summerland, British Columbia. Three years ago he came to Ida Grove and underwent an operation, a lung abscess developing, from which he never fully recovered.

He is survived by his wife and five children, by three sisters and one brother.

Early in life, he became a member of the Methodist church and maintained his affiliation to the time of his death.
