Funeral services for Henry B. Lomen of Bode, were held Monday, November 1, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev. Norman Johnson officiating. Burial was in St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery at Bode, with Schellhammer Funeral home of West Bend in charge.

Henry Bernell, son of Knut and Aline Kinseth Lomen, was born on October 2, 1895, at Bode, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Bode, he received his education at Bode, and operated a shoe and clothing store here.

On January 25, 1920, he was united in marriage to Clara Olson at Bode, Iowa.

Henry passed away Friday morning, October 29, while on the way to hospital i Fort Dodge, of a heart attack. He reached the age of 70 years, and 27 days. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Ted Brodale, of Ottosen; 3 grandchildren; one brother and one sister, John Lomen and Mrs. Julia Halverson of Bode. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara, on April 14, 1964; his parents, 3 sisters and one brother.

During the services, Dale Vige sang, "My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less" and "O Master Let Me Walk With Thee," accompanied by Mrs. David Engel.

Mrs. Walter Bakken, Mrs. Merle Thompson, and Mrs. Donald Bakken were in charge of floral arrangements.

Casket bearers were: Alvin Bakken, Leo Kinseth, Carlisle Halsrud, Marvin Kropf, Wildord Rood and Guy Lansing.
