Mrs. Ruth Necker, 90, died Wednesday (21 September 1983) at the South Care Center in Humboldt. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Livermore, with burial in Union Cemetery, Livermore. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Surviving are nephews and nieces, Francis Collins, Livermore; Mrs. Faber (Erma) Dugan, Humboldt; Mrs. Merwin (Floy) Marlow, Lone Rock, and Roy Salmon, Livermore.

Ruth Riley was born in Tama County and attended rural schools in Tama County. She worked at Mohrville, and later at Herricks Refrigeration in Waterloo. She married Sam Necker in Waterloo. They retired in 1957 and moved to Livermore. Mr. Necker died in 1958.

For the last several years, Mrs. Necker had resided at the care center in Humboldt.

She was a member of the Friends and Neighbors Club in Livermore.

Ruth Jane Riley, daughter of George W. And Charlottie Carlton Riley, was born November 5, 1892, in Tama County, Iowa. She attended rural schools and later worked in the Mohrville area before moving to Waterloo where she was employed at Herricks Refrigeration. She married Sam Necker in Waterloo, and they made their home there until retiring and moving to Livermore in 1957. Mr. Necker died in 1958.

Ruth Necker passed from this life Wednesday, September 21, 1983, at the South Care Center in Humboldt where she had resided the last several years. She had attained the age of ninety years, six months and sixteen days. She is survived by nieces and nephews Francis Collins of Livermore, Erma, Mrs. Faber Dugan, of Humboldt, Floy, Mrs. Merwin Marlow of Lone Rock, and Roy Salmon of Livermore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers and three sisters.
