Funeral services for Marjorie R. Skow, 88, Byron, MN, formerly of the Bode/Rutland area, were held Monday October 12 at the East St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Rock Dell, MN with burial in the church cemetery there. She died Friday, October 9 at her home in rural Byron.

Marjorie R. Lansing, daughter of Peter J. and Mary (Reno) Lansing was born February 1, 1904 at rural Bode where she was reared and educated graduating from the Bode High School. She attended nursing school in Des Moines.

In 1932 she was united in marriage to Alan J. Skow at Fort Dodge. The couple was engaged in farming near Rutland until 1954 when they moved to a farm at rural Stewartville, in Rock Dell Township in Minnesota. Her husband died in 1981 and she continued to make her home on the farm until 1988. She was employed as a knitting instructor at Daytons Department Store from 1963 to 1975.
