On Tuesday morning, January 20th, occurred the death of Glenn Lansing, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lansing.

The young boy had suffered for a number of years from inflammatory rheumatism, which eventually affected the heart causing his death.

Glenn was born near Bode, Iowa October 9th, 1905 and had therefore not gotten far past his fourteenth milestone. Having experienced the trials of sickness from early youth he had become a serious but patient boy whose kind face and sympathetic heart won him friends wherever he went. He leaves behind his parents and five sisters.

The funeral was conducted from the home on Thursday afternoon, at 2 o’clock with the Reverend Norman Madson officiating. Burial was in the Saint Olaf Lutheran Cemetery, east of Bode. Source: Humboldt Republican 23 Jan 1920.
