May 25, 1934 - Humboldt Republican - Mrs James Wiuff, 63 years old, died about 6 o'clock Wednesday morning in the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge where she had undergone an operation the night before. She had been in poor health for some time and had gone to the hospital Tuesday of this week. Funeral services are to be held in the Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Jacob Anderson will be the pastor in charge. Burial will be in the Union cemetery.

Mrs. Wiuff was Anna Iversen previous to her marriage and was born in Denmark on December 24, 1870. After her marriage to James Wiuff, they lived on a farm between Humboldt and Bode for many years. They retired about five years ago, constructed a modern home for themselves on Sumner avenue east of the business district, and moved to Humboldt.

The deceased is survived by her husband and five children: Mrs. Mattie Nelson of Bode, Mrs. Hannah Peterson of Humboldt, Mrs. Mabel Nelson of Bode, Henry Wiuff of Humboldt, and Clarence Wiuff of Bode. Two children preceded her in death. She also is survived by ten grandchildren. Burial will be in Union cemetery with the Ellsworth funeral home in charge.

MAY 29, 1934 - Humboldt Independent - Out of town people who attended the funeral of Mrs. James J. Wiuff Saturday afternoon were: Mrs John Domingo, George Domingo, and Mrs Leslie Wiles of Weeping Water, Nebr.; Mr and Mrs Rasmus Hanson and Mrs. Reubon Lindstrom of Westburg, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs T Schultz and Mr. and Mrs Chris Johnson of Algona.
