Daniel and Catherine Kitty Hannegan 1852-1882

Daniel Hannegan, wife, Catherine "Kitty" Carroll with their family of ten children emigrated into Iowa traveling from Canada West (Ontario) around 1852-56, settling in town of New Oregon. (Margaret, James Michael, Agnes, Mary Marie, Patrick, Daniel William, Catherine, Rosana and John Wm) They remained in the area until after old Daniel died. In August, 1870 James Michael, Daniel William and Thomas Hannegan left New Oregon moving into Kansas. It is believed that their mother, Catherine "Kitty" and her youngest son, John traveled with them. Later James Michael along with his mother returned to the area. James Michael's family settled in the Jefferson county area, but Catherine Hannegan returned to Howard County to die. Old Daniel Hannegan would have been buried in the original cemetery around New Oregon. I am hoping to locate some idea where both Daniel and Catherine Hannegan were buried and the actual date of their death. If anyone has access to these records, I would love to hear from them. I am aware that both the court house and Catholic Church burned destroying most of this type of record, but hopefully there is still something out there to assist me in my search.
