I don't know of any connections between my SHAWs and yours. My ggfather was Jonathan SHAW, born in Chester, New Hampshire, settled in Chester, MN. I have quite a bit on him, but a chunk of his life is 'missing'--1855-65. I thought he may have settled in Iowa before coming to Minnesota.

SHAW is a pretty common name, but many of them were early settlers in New England--Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
