Kenneth Lueschow, age 70, passed away on May 12, 2026, at Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco surrounded by his loving family.

Kenneth William Lueschow was born on March 20, 1956, to Kenneth A. and Shirley (Bauman) Lueschow in Marshfield, Wisconsin. During Ken’s third-grade year, the family moved to Iowa, where they operated the Cresco Egg Market. He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1975. Following high school, Ken began driving semi with his dad, hauling grain to Wisconsin, which later developed into livestock hauling.

Ken married Wendy Zubrod on July 2, 1983. Together they built a life centered around family, faith and hard work, while raising their three children: Tanya, Adam and Mark.

Ken was deeply involved in the church throughout his life, serving in many capacities, from board member to congregation president. He believed strongly in faith and family and often said, “If I don’t go to church, my week will not go well”.

As the oldest of five children, Ken was adventurous from an early age, often keeping his parents on their toes with ideas and adventures that may not always have been parent approved. In his younger years, he especially enjoyed spending time with horses and snowmobiles.

As a father, Ken instilled in his children the value of hard work through Saturday morning livestock trailer cleaning, yard work, and plenty of life lessons along the way. He proudly supported his children in their sports and extracurricular activities, attending every event he could.

In his free time, you could often find Ken enjoying a cold Busch Light while cheering on his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers, and following the Iowa Hawkeyes. He will be remembered for his robust laugh, kind heart, and willingness to lend a hand whenever someone needed help.

Ken is survived by his wife, Wendy; his children: Tanya (Tyler Diver), Adam (Chalsea Carroll), and Mark (Erin Klein); his granddaughter, Kenlee Diver; and his grandson, Garret Wenthold.

He is also survived by his siblings, Kay (Dale Praska), Kelvin (Jodi Langaas), Karla (Steve Baumler); sister in-law, Roxanne Sacquitne Lueschow; mother-in-law, Margaret Zubrod; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Shirley; his brother, Kent Lueschow, father-in-law, Bill Zubrod, and grandson Cade Wenthold.
