OBITUARY.
FERRIE
Virgil Linus, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ferrie, died at his home in Cresco after a long illness from whooping cough and other complications. He was a patient little sufferer for nearly six months. He was born in Cresco, Iowa, June 21st, 1919, aged 16 months, one week and 6 days. He was laid to rest Dec. 6, in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Rev. Father Ryan officiating.

Our darling one from home has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our hearts
Which never can be filled.

We will miss our darling baby,
On each morning and at eve,
And we’ll not forget the blessing,
At the time his presence gave;

Now we bow to Heaven’s calling,
And the Judge that reigns on high,
All we ask is guide our footsteps
Till we meet him bye and bye.

We wish to thank our kind friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us at the time of our darling’s sickness and death.
