Ridgeway friends were shocked Monday morning to learn of the death of Flavia Marcia Teetshorn, who had passed away after a very brief illness.

OBITUARY.
Teetshorn.
Flavia Marcia Teetshorn, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Teetshorn, was born in Lincoln twp., Winneshiek county, Iowa, July 30, 1885.
When five years of age she suffered an affliction from which she never entirely recovered. Although an invalid for many years, she was bright and cheerful, and her mind and hands were habitually occupied in some useful and helpful manner.
Physically unable to attend school she nevertheless so applied her self along educational lines as to become proficient in the ordinary branches of education, especially in reading and writing.
A few days before her death she became so seriously ill that a physician was called but he could give no assurance that her life could be spared many days All that willing hands and loving hearts could do proved unavailing to prolong her life and about three o’clock Monday morning, Aug. 26th, she slipped quietly away from her earthly home to the unseen world.
There are left to mourn her death her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Teetshorn, her two brothers, Eben and Oliver, and two sisters Mrs. Albert Kach and Miss Iowa Rose Teetshorn, and many other relatives and friends who will miss her cheery smile and sunny face.
Rev. G. M. Shoemaker, Methodist pastor of Ridgeway conducted the funeral service which was held at the home Wednesday afternoon, August 28th. The tired body was laid to rest in beautiful Oaklawn cemetery in Cresco amid banks of beautiful flowers.
“Be ye also ready, for in an hour that ye think not, the Son of Man cometh.”
