Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Miller were called to Nebraska last week by the illness of a brother of the latter, A. H. Russel, who later passed away and was brought to Cresco for interment, the funeral being held Wednesday at the home with burial in Oak lawn Cemetery. Obituary later.

OBITUARY.
RUSSELL.
Curtis Hall Russell, son of James and Sarah Russell, was born at West Concord, Vermont, January 24, 1856, and moved with his parents to Wisconsin when a child. He was one of five children—Mrs. Mary M. Miller of Cresco, Iowa, Arthur Foss Russell, who died when a child at West Concord, Vermont, before the family came to Wisconsin, Curtis Hall Russell, the deceased, Joel C. Russell of San Bernardino, California, Mrs. Nellie Ballard, half sister, who died at Albion, Nebraska.
Curtus left home when a young boy going to St. Joe, Missouri, where he remained two years then to various places in Illinois. He came to Juniata, Nebraska, about fourteen years ago. For some time he worked in a store, then he took up farm work again and for nine of the fourteen years he worked and lived with E. Stanton Newell, where he died very suddenly, Aug. 7, 1918, at 3 p. m.
He was a member in good standing of Juniata Camp Modern Woodmen of Nebraska. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church at Juniata conducted by Rev. McCorkel and prayer by Rev. McMinn. The remains were brought to Cresco and taken to the home of C. H. Miller where short services were held by Rev. H. M. Normann. Burial at Oaklawn.
