John Drilling, a prominent farmer, residing north of Cresco, passed away on Monday at Nevada, Iowa. He had been on an auto trip to Camp Dodge to see two of his sons who are in military service, and on his way home was stricken by paralysis, the second stroke he had sustained. He had been in good health but the trip in the hot weather evidently overtaxed his strength. His funeral was held yesterday morning at St. Joseph’s Church.
