OBITUARY.
DAVIS.
Joseph E. Davis, youngest son of Erville and Edelia Davis, was born at Cresco, Ia., Feb. 29, 1888 and moved to Idaho with his parents in his fifteenth year. He was married in Spokane, Wash, April 22, 1912, to Miss Winnifred Hamley of Rockford, Wash.
He died At Rockford, Wash, Monday morning, April 15 1918, age 30 years, 1 month and 23 days. Ten years ago Mr. Davis began his work in the Coeur de Alene mining district in the northern part of Idaho and held that position until last Aug. While in the mines he contracted miner’s consumption which caused his death.
About three months ago he and his wife went to Arizona in hopes that the change of climate would relieve his suffering, but he received no benefit from the climate so returned to Washington.
Deceased is survived by his wife, father, E. W. Davis, one brother Edwin J. Davis of Portland, Ore., three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sears of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. J. A . Gonser of Richdale, Alberta, and Mrs. Cecil F. Ahlborn, of Payette, Idaho.
