OBITUARY
OWENS.
Margaret Sullivan was born in Winneshiek county, April 14, 1882. Here she lived with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sullivan until 1900, when the family moved to Lime Springs, Iowa.
On May 2th, 1917, she was united in marriage with Mr. Will Owens at St. Patrick’s church, LeRoy, Minn., and resided in Cresco until her death on March 5, 1918.
On Feb. 20th she was taken suddenly ill, and was removed to the Mercy hospital where an operation was performed for peritonitis. She was slowly recovering from the effects of the operation, when complications set in which resulted in her death on Tuesday afternoon, March 5th, 1918.
The deceased is survived by her sorrowing husband, her mother, Mrs. Michael Sullivan of LeRoy, Minn., four sisters, Miss Julia of LeRoy, Mrs. Mae Roche of Motley, Minn., Mrs. Ella Fleming of Plymouth Rock, and Mrs. Walter Martin of Lawler; also three brothers, Pat Sullivan of LeRoy and John and Timothy of Melvin, Minn., all of whom were present at her funeral. Funeral services were held at the Assumption Church, Rev. Father Murtagh officiating.
The floral tributes were numerous and the large attendance of both relatives and friends gave evidence of the high esteem in which the deceased was held by all who knew her.
CARD OF THANKS
I desire to express my sincere thanks to the neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted me during the sickness and death of my beloved wife; also for the many beautiful floral offerings.
Will Owens.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Calvary Cresco Cemetery shows her year of birth as 1880 which does not agree with the above.
